Each student progresses in a program of instruction according to individual needs. This is accomplished by limiting class size, individualizing lessons
in reading, phonics, writing, spelling, and math.
Strong emphasis is placed on students learning organizational skills and acquiring good study habits.
Students learn to follow directions, stay on task, complete assignments, solve problems, and set personal goals.
Students are also taught how to develop motor coordination, good sportsmanship, and social skills. Most importantly, Shady Oaks students develop
a positive attitude toward themselves and to school.
